Turn Yourself Around
You may have noticed that my schedule is chock full of BAND SHOWS lately. Well I must say that I am one excited gal to have found myself among these cats: J.J. O'Connell, Paul Kochanski and Ken Miauri. Want to get a sneak peek? We played to a packed house at the Iron Horse recently. Here we are doing a new song (for the 2012 release), Turn Yourself Around:

I Heart House Concerts
Have you ever thought of hosting one? No living-room is too small. Want to learn about hosting an artist? Watch this short VIDEO. I love that these intimate shows are growing in popularity. They connect the artist to the audience, and are so supportive to the traveling independent musician. If you are interested in hosting me in your living-room, there is a GREAT organization that makes the set-up very easy... it's called Concerts In Your Home. You can also just contact me.
Time & Pocket Change
Time & Pocket Change is OFFICIALLY RELEASED!
Go to my music page to purchase the disc or download!
A few words on the new release: Beginning in June of last year at Harmonium Studio, we've poured ourselves into each song, and I believe we've sculpted them all into a true work of art. I worked with the talented engineer/producer Norm Demoura who has worked with some of the industry greats: Susan Tedeschi, Dae Bennett (Tony Bennett), Michael Brauer (My Morning Jacket) and Terry Adams (NRBQ). Guitarist and good friend Joe Boyle was with us every step of the way, bringing his amazing ear, mad slinky playing skills, and of course, stunning guitar work.
My Co-Bill Interview with Carly Simon
Right after the release of Cozy Razor's Edge (Nov 2009) Carly Simon and I (can I say that again? Carly Simon and I...) did a podcast interview about the relationship between music and spirituality, and how it has directly affected our work in some way. The podcast that published the interview folded right after it's release (just my luck), but I recently came across the recording and I thought it might be fun to share! Check it!
Spotlight Magazine Review
Click this picture to read a review of "Time & Pocket Change" by Spotlight Magazine's Chris Hislop! An excerpt: "There are voices in popular music that are undeniably shot into the limelight because of their interesting tonal qualities and the way they are delivered. Artists like Regina Spektor, Johanna Newsom, and Fiest, found a way to transform the traditional radio hit into something that had a far varied unique aesthetic to it that made you want to stop turning the dial and focus on what was happening within their respective songs. These are voices that force you to "tune" in, that you have to make sure you are hearing correctly to believe. Maloney's voice, though different from the three aforementioned artists (they're all different in their own respects), is similar in the sense that it is indeed the instrument that is going to get the attention of the masses."
Cozy Razor's Edge is on Pandora!
The Music Genome Project has accepted, analyzed and incorporated my debut disc! Add me to your station, or just go to the "Heather Maloney" station!
Polaroids by Johnny Riggs
Rolling Stone Magazine just published a number of Johnny Riggs's photos of celebrities in the 90's, so when he asked me if he could take my picture after the show in Charleston, WV, I was like, "um, yes please?" Check out the shots he got here, and check out his work featured in the latest Rolling Stone here.
Fhe Facebook Fanpage "My Band" Tab
